VRLY Ventures LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), operating as gidit, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect your information when you access or use the gidit consent-first social commerce platform, website at gidit.com, and all related services (collectively, the "Services").

  • Customer Data Categories: Information you choose to share through the platform's consent-based data categories, such as personal demographics, location preferences, lifestyle interests, and financial preferences. You control exactly what data you share and with which vendors.
  • User Content: Posts, reviews, comments, photos, videos, and other content you create or upload
  • Communication Data: Messages sent through the platform, support requests, and feedback
  • Payment Information: Billing details processed through our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full payment card information on our servers.
  • Verification Data: Information provided during vendor verification processes

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, and unique device identifiers
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, pages viewed, referring URL, and interactions with the Services
  • Usage Data: Features used, actions taken, search queries, and navigation patterns
  • Location Data: Approximate location based on IP address; precise location only when you explicitly grant permission through your browser for "Near Me" features
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: Information collected through cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies as described in our Cookie Policy

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from third-party services you connect to your account, publicly available sources, and other users who interact with you on the platform.

The core of gidit's platform is consent-based data sharing. Customer data is shared with vendors only when and to the extent that the customer has explicitly granted permission through the platform's sharing controls. Customers may revoke sharing permissions at any time.

4.2 With Other Users

Certain information is visible to other users based on your privacy settings and the platform's functionality, including your public profile, posts, reviews, and social interactions.

4.3 With Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers who assist in operating the Services, including:

  • Stripe: Payment processing
  • Wasabi / AWS S3: File storage
  • Email delivery services: Transactional and notification emails
  • Map services: Location-based features
  • Analytics providers: Platform usage analysis

4.4 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

4.5 Business Transfers

Your information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar business transaction.

4.6 Aggregated or De-identified Data

We may share aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. Vendor analytics enforce a minimum threshold of 25 customers to prevent identification of individuals.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes or enforcing our Terms).

  • Account data: Duration of account plus 30 days after deletion
  • Transaction records: 7 years for tax and legal compliance
  • Usage data: 24 months for analytics
  • Support communications: 3 years

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit (TLS), secure password hashing, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
