Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") governs the use of the gidit consent-first social commerce platform and all related services provided by VRLY Ventures LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). This Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service. Violation of this Policy may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.

2. General Guidelines

You must use the Services responsibly by:

Complying with all applicable laws and regulations
Respecting the privacy, intellectual property, and rights of others
Maintaining the integrity and security of the platform
Avoiding conduct that harms other users or the platform
Using the Services consistent with their intended purposes
Respecting the consent-based data sharing model that is central to gidit

3. Prohibited Content

3.1 Illegal or Harmful Content

You may not upload, post, or transmit content that: violates any applicable law or regulation; promotes illegal activities or violence; contains child exploitation material; constitutes terrorism-related content; or is defamatory.

3.2 Fraudulent or Deceptive Content

You may not: post false or misleading information; impersonate other individuals or entities; misrepresent the source of content; create fake reviews or testimonials; post deliberately deceptive offers or promotions; or fabricate vendor credentials or business information.

3.3 Intellectual Property Violations

You may not: infringe copyrights, trademarks, or patents; use unauthorized third-party content; or violate confidentiality or non-disclosure agreements.

3.4 Privacy Violations

You may not: violate the privacy rights of others; share personal information without consent; use customer data obtained through the platform outside the permissions granted; circumvent the platform's consent-based data sharing controls; or harvest, collect, or store other users' personal data without authorization.

3.5 Harmful or Offensive Content

You may not: post hate speech or content that discriminates based on protected characteristics; upload obscene or pornographic material; harass, threaten, bully, or intimidate others; or post content promoting self-harm.

3.6 Malicious Content

You may not: distribute viruses, malware, or other harmful code; attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts; engage in phishing or social engineering attacks; or upload files designed to disrupt the Services.

4. Prohibited Activities

4.1 Security Violations

Attempting unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
Circumventing security measures or access controls
Probing for vulnerabilities without written authorization
Using another person's account without their permission
Sharing account credentials with unauthorized persons

4.2 Platform Abuse

Overloading, disrupting, or interfering with the Services
Circumventing usage limits, rate limits, or restrictions
Interfering with other users' access to or enjoyment of the Services
Using the platform for cryptocurrency mining or other unauthorized resource consumption

4.3 Data Collection and Scraping

Automated data collection, scraping, or harvesting without authorization
Building databases of user information from the platform
Using bots, crawlers, or automated tools to access the Services without permission

4.4 Spam and Manipulation

Sending unsolicited bulk communications or spam
Creating multiple accounts to evade restrictions or manipulate the platform
Artificially inflating engagement metrics (likes, follows, reviews)
Manipulating the referral system or credit earning mechanisms
Gaming the tier progression or badge systems through inauthentic activity

4.5 Reverse Engineering

Decompiling, disassembling, or reverse engineering the Services
Attempting to derive source code, algorithms, or proprietary methods
Copying the design, functionality, or features of the platform

4.6 Unauthorized Commercial Use

Reselling access to the Services without authorization
Using the Services for purposes unrelated to their intended social commerce functionality

5. Vendor-Specific Standards

Vendors using the platform must additionally:

Ensure all offers and promotions are genuine, accurate, and honored as described
Respect customer data sharing permissions and use shared data only as authorized
Provide accurate business information, including location, contact details, and business type
Respond to customer disputes and reviews in a professional manner
Not use the platform to collect customer data for purposes outside the platform's intended functionality
Comply with all applicable consumer protection and advertising laws

6. Influencer-Specific Standards

Influencers using the platform must additionally:

Clearly disclose sponsored or paid promotional content as required by FTC guidelines
Provide honest and authentic endorsements and recommendations
Not artificially inflate their audience metrics or engagement

7. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this Policy, please report it to legal@gidit.com with:

A description of the violation
The location or URL of the content (if applicable)
Your contact information
Any supporting documentation

8. Enforcement

We may take any of the following actions in response to violations:

Issue warnings to the offending user
Remove or disable violating content
Temporarily suspend account access
Permanently terminate accounts
Forfeit accrued Gidit Bucks or wallet funds
Report violations to law enforcement
Pursue legal action

We may take immediate action without prior notice when necessary to protect users or the platform. Appeals may be submitted to legal@gidit.com.

9. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Ensuring that all activity under your account complies with this Policy
Implementing appropriate security measures for your account
Monitoring your account for suspicious activity
Promptly reporting any suspected violations or security incidents

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
